Youtube Fundamentals
- Shareability
- Rocket League
- These Kids Playing Rocket League, they’re having a really good time.
- One of the us is playing with a broken arm. The kid playing with a broken bone is doing pretty well.
- The editing and commentary will have to be on point!
- Super Smash Bros (Melee)
- When the nostalgia kicks in...
- Techniques used by higher skill level players are being showcased here. Like wavedash, wave shine, rest combos.
- We have to make sure that when we play it looks good and clean as well as the better player screws up multiple times so they rage.
- Garry's Mod ( Prop hunt and Deathrun)
- Deceit and lies are turning out to be hilarious.
- We make sure that we are collaborating on this video since Gmod is really fun with about 4-8
- Making sure the teams are fair and the commentary between everyone is outlined essentially or really unbalanced so it's so unfair, it’s funny.
- Mario Kart
- They are fast and really good at turning even at 200cc
- Playing with subs/ other people for 4 person mario kart racing at 200cc will be a must so we can make more people mad as we hit them with shells/ bananas
- This episode will be somewhat easy all we need to do is make sure the noise isn’t too high.
- Borderlands 2/3
- I remember playing this a couple years back, lets see what they do different.
- This is a lets play on our journey to defeat terramorphous. Nothing really special here more like filler.
- Just we have to add annotations if we have it in a series so our viewers can keep up.
- Rocket League
- Conversation
- Most of our conversation content will be focused on opinions that we have during our video, we will ask the viewers to voice out what they thought on our opinions. We will also have a straw poll that revolves around what they want to see next, and we will also check the comment section to see what else they would want to see. Also replying to comments will be a big part of conversation.
- Interactivity
- The interactivity we will have on our channel will mainly involve Sub games where it’s us v.s. them. During these sessions they can join us in something like skype and we will have genuine conversations/ some mild trash talk whilst in game. The subscribers essentially control our views, but they don’t know that and to express that we will post a straw poll after every other video (interchangable). With this poll it holds the name of games that we might play and they choose which they would like to see.
- Consistency
- Being consistent is a must have in a gaming channel seeing as other channels such as Markiplier, Dashie Games, and Pewdiepie post once as it is their job. If we post around every three days, or more as students it shows the subscribers that we really care about the channel and the audience that we are targeting. Even though we have to be home to start recording it shouldn’t be too much of a problem considering, we can talk to each other during/after school.
- Targeting
- Our target audience will be people that are interested in video games in general. We can easily reach this audience by simply posting our gaming videos. Our general channel/name already shows who is our target audience. Our series will also just be of video games, things like “Let’s Play” videos where we start the campaign or story mode of a game and play through little by little showing the audience “oh I did that, we share so much in common”
- Sustainability
- Our videos will contain not too much work since all that we have to do is start up our recording software and just start playing with each other in skype/Teamspeak. Our schedules will almost always line up since we have to watch out for each other just online. We can record a lot more than one video in a gaming session with each other. We can also record at school since I can bring my systems here (If we buy a HD capture card)
- Discoverability
- Our channel will most likely be buried under a lot of other gaming videos/channels, but we figured if we post top quality videos we can eventually get to where we may deserve to be. Our thumbnail for each of our videos will contain bright colors to stand out and peek the viewers interest, so that they are tempted to click. Colors such as bright yellow can help us out.
- Accessibility
- The videos we will be posting will mainly consist of just playing a game that does not contain a story line, so just watching one video in our series of playing Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Etc. won’t affect the viewer's mind of what is going on. The only exception to this is if we play games like Borderlands and Amnesia. Keeping up will not be too hard since after each story based video game episode will have annotations to the previous video and the next video in the series.
- Collaboration
- Collaboration will mainly be composed of the other channels on our team in hopes of growing each other's channel by just being together. We will also try to come in contact with other youtubers if possible so they may even blow up our channel. Lastly our collaboration is huge on subscribers who just would like to play with us and proudly be on our video.
- Inspiration
- We were inspired to play video game by various youtubers who have done the same thing. We plan to give back to the youtube community by our hopes to inspire others and help them love the youtube community as much as we did.
