progressive Project
I think to be progressive is to make something or to do something that will make or push society forward for the better.
Topic
My topic was Veterans, and the reason I chose this topic is because we live in a city with a lot of veterans and service members and some of my family's close friends are veterans so I wanted to do something that could potentially help them. I also wanted to make something to help them because they put their lives on the line to protect us.

Human Centered Problems:
Our human centered problem is that some veterans are unable to utilize services they earned and deserve because organizations and services aren't readily available.

MODIFICATIONs
For Each Option of the VA location or organization, we would like to show the amenities that they provide for their visitors.
Clear up a lot of the space in order to make each page as user friendly as can be.
We would like to add more filters in hopes we can narrow down the search to each individuals needs.
Lastly if we had the money, we would make the app. Sadly this was just a prototype.

Reflection On Progressive Day:
I think progressive day was alright. On one hand we had very little foot traffic and didn't really get helpful feedback. On the other hand even though the foot traffic was light we got to talk to veterans and hear their stories. We didn't get to hear much feedback on the prototype, but we did get to hear what they honestly thought about it and how they were proud they were that kids our age actually cared about veterans.

self REFLECTION
1.What was the most challenging part of the work around the Progressive Challenge for you and how did you overcome it?
I would say the most challenging part for me was thinking of an idea for a prototype because my partner and I couldn't think of anything that went with our brainstorm or our human centered problem. How we overcame it was getting ideas from our classmates and teacher till we figured out that we should make an app.
2.What do you most appreciate/value about the work around the Progressive Challenge and how did you gain that perspective?
What I value most is that we got to pick something we were passionate about and focus all our time in Joanne's class on making something that could potentially help out a community or people out with problems they go through on a daily basis.
3.What have you learned and gained so far in our study of progressivism not only on a personal level but also academic understanding?
What I learned about progressivism is that you have to be passionate and willing to put your time and energy into something if you want to make a difference or a change in your neighborhood or society or anywhere.
4.How do you feel your progressive challenge project impacted your user? What changes would you make after testing it?
Our project was only a prototype, but all the people we talked to were very impressed with our prototypes and with highschool students are willing to put their time into making things that help people who need it and who would benefit people off of our ideas.
